Located within a family-owned pistachio orchard in the village of Papoli, Papoli Villa was designed as a private residence for the family. The house is conceived in harmony with its surroundings, its form appearing to emerge from the ground, while its façades echo the tones and textures of the earth. An integrated ramp leads to the roof, opening up views of the orchard and the surrounding landscape.
While the house’s orientation and façades establish an outward connection with the orchard, a rotation of the plan creates a courtyard, introducing an inward-looking quality to its otherwise outward-facing character. The interior comprises two living rooms, two kitchens, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a storage room, organized into distinct public and private zones.
